Really? So you retracted your comments then?
How about this one to Shades?
"Your hate is clear. You've dedicated the better part of your life to it. You've created websites that foster it. You've propagated it throughout the internet for decades."
And was this one about the board here also just 'trolling' Shades?
"You set up an entire platform that harbors the worst of the anti-Mormon bigots, and you continually pay for hosting to keep it going. Plus, you almost never stand up for the truth on your festering cesspool that you promote. Like Stormfront, your site is a hate site."
How do you feel now? What changed, if anything?
I've spent some time here. That's what changed.
Are you saying you didn't read and/or participate at the old board, mormondiscussions.com?
Then how did you come to those opinions spanning decades?
Yeah, I own that. You got me. I was trolling Shades.
But since I've spent some time here, I've realized I was wrong. I ask for forgiveness.
Owning it and asking for forgiveness is very admirable on your part. So much so (and so freaking rare around these parts) that I want to add my public support for you becoming a member of the mod team.
Sledge would add some diversity as a TBM and spends more time in Terrestrial.
I like the idea of having Sledge on the team. And he has a button!
I'm also very much in favor of having more than less. Assuming everyone adheres to the Shades Clone rule it should help to prevent burnout and leaving any one person out on an island. It also means if we get into a bit and 1 or more decide it actually isn't for them it doesn't leave us back at none.

Right, at the end of the day, Shades is picky, and he can "uncheck" the box that makes the person a mod if they aren't acting as a clone.
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.
I'm going to raise a concern. I don't know Sledge well enough to trust him with confidential information. I mean nothing against him at all, I'm just saying that I don't know him well enough for him to have access.
BUT, I have enjoyed most of his postings here and I do like the idea of diversity on the mod team. We had that back on ZLMB and I think it made the community feel that all voices were considered.
That said, you'd probably need a Christian representative and there's hardly any here to start with. But it's not a deal breaker for me at all if only Sledge would be added and make the fourth mod since the whole of MDB is more LDS related to begin with.
I think it's good to have a larger team. It relieves members of the team and spreads the misery joy around.

Sounds good, as long as four isn’t over doing it. Get too many and one moderator might think the other moderator ‘has it’.
Also, potentially there is a Supreme Court ruling weighting concern where three to one wins the day? How does that work? Do all moderators have to be in agreement when some sort of moderation dictum is handed down?
Otherwise, I can see three to one decisions on a good day, a two/two split on others.

EA and I never voted on anything. We consulted on close calls. If we had different takes, we asked Shades.
When a report came in, whichever of us saw it first would post on the mod board that he was handling it or had handled it. And when a report has been handled, you "close" it. So, there shouldn't be a problem with four people staring at each other while the ball hits the ground.
Four might be overkill, but it would also make the load pretty light on each mod.
he/him we all just have to live through it,

Yes, zero mods is what became the greatest issue here. I agree.
