Best that I can recall, we did have access to IP addresses. If we had access to the registration information, I never looked at it.

All we know is he's a TBM who has defined this place as a hate site akin to Stormfront, that harbors Anti-Mormon bigots and bigotry, and who has called Shades a bigot. He has clearly misrepresented how long he has been reading and/or participating. If not, then he formed his opinions about this forum as a hate site without knowing anything, i.e. just believing various mopologetic assumptions, without knowledge.

But, unlike his current LDS prophet, we assume he will respect the rules of an institution over his religion if a conflict arises. I'm not comfortable trusting him with confidential information either.

Yeah, that's the IP addresses. It basically means that, even though outing sock puppets is an ancient sport here, moderators don't get to play.

Hmm? This might create some potential issues? Not for me (I don't think) but for some of the long time members here that have posted some, shall we say, 'challenging' things about specific people who defend the LDS Church - If the in real life names of some of the people that post here are even in the slightest danger of becoming unmasked, then I would be extremely cautious to even consider such a thing. It's just not worth even the slightest risk. Full stop!

Anyway, I really don't know what I'm talking about with all of this CI stuff and I trust that the people who will make any decisions about mods will have this well under control and thought through.

I don’t recall having access to that, but I really only paid attention to things I needed to do the job.
