I’m not sure why proving that IP addresses are meaningless data points make it “not look good” for me.

So the guy who assures everyone that IP addresses are "meaningless data points," unless of course they are combined with other information, wants access, "for just 90 days!" to everyone's IP addresses.

So, since you brought it up again, you are the one who trolled me about the plagiarism thread that is well known and well attested to, and which you yourself know about, and you are the one who has repeatedly called me angry for no reason over this issue, other than to distract from your trolling of me over it.

You are the one who is a friend of Peterson, who is pretending to not know about the multiple instances of his plagiarism, fully documented on our site. Your game playing and trolling has fully disqualified you from being trusted in a moderator position.

If your work uses a static IP address, and you post from there, it wouldn’t be too hard to sleuth out your in real life and cause problems. Someone with mod powers could send a msg to your work, with whatever they deem problematic, attach your IP address, and then the rest is what it is. An unethical mod could use IP addresses harvested from this site, and then do whatever illegal crap they want online, and it’d be traced back here. Also, and I’m open to being corrected, but I think your port is associated with your IP address, and something something hacking potential.

The bottom line is Sledge stated his intention to Shades with a threat against the site, so I’d be surprised if he brings Sledge on board as a mod.
