Here's the crazy part - As I am typing this, the freaking post that started all of this - the one that shows Lem said something that she didn't say is still there - on the bottom of page 20 - unedited and not corrected - So yeah, I guess my few attempts to communicate this to MG failed.

As a matter of fact, that is the case. Thanks for pointing out the exact post where I failed to use the quote feature correctly.

You are jumping to a conclusion which is unwarranted. As ceeboo mentioned, I unknowingly used the quote function incorrectly. I was referring to Doc, not Lem.

Clear enough yet?

I didn’t click on your link…but I would imagine it must be ‘proof’ of something malicious on my part.

My error was just that. An error. Sheesh.

On the other hand, I think Doc needs to calm down a bit with his profane and vulgar contributions. Just my two cents.

Well, I am almost 100% certain that this case is nothing more than a simple mistake on MG's part when he made the post. I know I have made similar mistakes using the quote feature. Even if I am wrong, I think the benefit of the doubt should be given in cases like this as I would enjoy receiving that same benefit concerning one of my posts if/when I made a quoting boo-boo.

Yeah - this wasn't MG trolling - This was just a misstep - No biggie - He just needs to edit/correct to be fair to Lem.

You're 100% wrong. Which is why your multiple posts pointing out the error have been ignored. He wants a rise out of Lem. He always wants a rise out of Lem. It's a well established pattern.

I was winding down for the night when this happened. My gosh, IHAQ, another mountain out of a molehill.

While I must agree with you that some of my posts to him were ignored - He did respond to (I think?) one of them and he seemed to think he corrected the issue - which he did not. So, I guess there was a severe miscommunication taking place between us two…

You nailed it. I wasn’t tracing down what the exact error was, but the evening was drawing down and I wanted to spend time with my wife, and I signed off.

That simple.

I just read your most recent post and I must admit - I am really becoming very weary and largely mind-blown over this entire mess! (A bad combo to be sure)

I know who you intended the quote in question for. that is not the issue!

This issue, AGAIN, is what your post implies - It implies that Lem said it and she did not - You did!

The below quote is on the bottom of page 20 - Do you see the line with "fecal smell" in it? Do you see right above that same line where it says "Lem quote"?

That is the issue - you need to edit your post so it doesn't say Lem said it - Because Lem didn't say that.

Now I can't delete this after you fix it because I will have another scolding from Shades and I don't have any more condiments left that I like to put on my burger.

Good Lord!

This was of course addressed to Doc Cam. He deserved it.

Messing up the quote function is something that happens from time to time. I’ve made the same mistake a couple of times.

If I haven’t fixed it correctly at this point, please let me know. I’ll be out for a while on a bike ride with my daughter.

Of course, he quoted himself two posts ago and corrected the error there, while leaving the error in the original post still standing.

That will help him argue 'oops, just an error!' right? Again. And he will expect the benefit of the doubt. Again. And in the future, as IHAQ pointed out, it will happen. Again. It's a childish technique and its getting very old.

Anyway, I had planned to address this once and move on, because I knew he wouldn't correct it, but since others have brought it up, I'm making this one last post. I don't expect the troll-like behaviors will end, but maybe we will be pleasantly surprised!

It still hasn't been fixed. Even after FOUR additional posts by him talking about it, before the one above. Is there really any longstanding poster who continues to be that incompetent with the quote feature, while making 6 additional posts about his quote feature error? IHAQ is absolutely right.

Sigh. Moving on...
