Maybe this Mormon trio is wrong about everything, but they are still being paid to produce an attack podcast. They need to say something or else the Outer Darkness Foundation will ask for their money back.
Attack podcast? Also, I think Bill Reel, RFM and John Dehlin ask for money, correct? I'm Mormon, but about as far from an orthodox Mormon as you can get. I'm starting to grow tired of listening to both of the programs above. More so Mormon Stories.
One thing I've realized from listening to 100s of Mormon related podcast, is there's a subset of exmormons that have allowed exmormonism to infiltrate every part of their lives. You could say they're the "orthodox exmormons" of the exmormon community.
My only saving grace is I don’t require ten percent of my listeners’ income in spite of having a hundred billion in the bank.
Mormonism is no different than any other religion in that it can't be proven true on paper. All religions first and foremost enhance the believers ability to cope with death and dying. Uncertainty of a life after death will produce anxiety and fear in the vast majority of people and religion/faith/spirituality help ease a persons fear of nothingness. So you see, in my opinion religion is a coping mechanism. Religion also provides social support from within a faith based community that a lot of people wouldn't benefit from outside of religion.
Is there any benefit to adhering to the teachings of Mormonism? Your podcast not as much, but Mormon Stories as of late seems like it has taken a "let's burn the mother xxxxer down" approach, disregarding the mental benefits the vast majority of Mormons receive from adhering to sound everyday principals.
I feel foolish for commenting on Kish' thread without realizing there was this video out there.
I'm confused why they think RFM and Bill should be held accountable for any future attacks on LDS church's for their "hateful" rhetoric but somehow they feel the need to defend violent imagery from LDS apostles? If that doesn't help them identify the problem with their logic on religious defending I don't know that there's much hope here.
I will say if they left their point as "there's too much hate and rhethoric on things like ex-Mormon reddit or from ex-LDS people" they'd have a point. There is and I find it shameful much of the time and try to avoid it. Most of us former believers have our arms lovingly around many of our devoted LDS family and friends.

Kwaku logic: more LDS church buildings have been set on fire because Bill Reel and RFM failed condemn enough exMormon Reddit posts.
I picked up on that too and it was very disturbing to say the least. Quacko is angry and venting frustration in dangerous ways that ruin his credibility and in a way indirectly point the finger at radio talk show hosts (RFM & Reel) for bearing some kind of responsibility for the destruction of LDS chapels. What Quacko was alluding to was insidious and to me seemed libelous because it pulls innocent characters into sharing responsibility for crimes they had nothing to do with. RFM & Reel have always expressed character and morals that would condemn horrible acts such as arson or wanton illegal destruction of property. I think Quacko is just unhinged and will ultimately come apart at the seams.
The new mantra it seems is the word "hate" and it's constant use in everything to describe people like RFM & Reel as well as pretty much everyone else who is outspoken against the Church. They will just keeping saying the "hate" word in effort to attach that to the reputation and characters of those who are fighting against the Church. They automatically attach the "hate" word to those who oppose their religion and go out of their way to make that known.
But the fact is that opponents of Mormonism are not out to deny the rights of Mormons to practice their religion and have free speech in doing it. It's simply the right of the opposition to counter their truth claims and the culture they have made in pushing lies that have been proven false. The Mormons are on record for wanting to deny the rights of others. Take gay marriage for example and the fact that Mormons formally were on record for keeping homosexual acts illegal as a punishable crime.
