The only way I can rev myself up enough to clean house is to make a battle out of it where I viciously kill the dirt, so I guess I am taking revenge, but I'm not particularly happy or even satisfied afterward. It's interesting to apply that idea to 'revenge' pleasure. If you get pleasure from the thought of having revenge fantasies against people you feel have victimized you, would your brain want to manufacture situations where you are the victim?
