President Trump addressed the ongoing cyber hacks of the U.S. government for the first time on Saturday, seeking to turn blame away from Moscow while downplaying their gravity.

In a bizarre outburst on Twitter, he contradicted his top diplomat, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who on Friday pinned the breaches that have afflicted at least five major federal agencies “clearly” on Russia, and the president even floated the possibility that the true culprit “may be China (it may!)”

Trump’s aversion to calling out the Kremlin for its malign activities in cyberspace and his deference to Russian President Vladimir Putin has become a hallmark of his presidency. He has repeatedly trusted the word of Putin over the assessments of his own intelligence community, including its conclusion that Russia waged a campaign to interfere in the 2016 presidential election — a verdict he believes calls into question the legitimacy of his victory four years ago.

His tweets on Saturday raise fresh concerns that he will seek to shrug off what may turn out to be a cyber hack of unprecented scale, and that Russia will not be held to account.

“The Cyber Hack is far greater in the Fake News Media than in actuality,” Trump tweeted, despite a federal alert in recent days that called the widespread cyber espionage campaign “a grave risk to” government agencies and the private sector.

President Donald Trump reportedly inquired about an idea raised by his former (and now pardoned) national security adviser, Michael Flynn, that the U.S. military be deployed to overturn the results of the presidential election—a claim shot down by his advisors at a meeting where the president appeared to embrace increasingly fringe notions about his election loss.

New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman reported Saturday that the president asked about Flynn’s idea, as senior officials are reportedly becoming very unsettled by Trump’s escalating interest in crackpot plans during his last days in power.

On Thursday, Flynn said that Trump could deploy the military to swing states he lost to President-elect Joe Biden in order to “rerun” the presidential election.

During the meeting, Trump also floated naming the conspiracy-theorist attorney Sidney Powell—who has pushed a baseless theory that long-dead Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez rigged voting machines—as special counsel to investigate voter fraud.

Axios reported Saturday that even some of Trump’s long-loyal top officials have been dismayed by Trump’s behavior, including his interest in Flynn’s views, with one senior official saying Trump “spends his time talking to conspiracy nuts who openly say declaring martial law is no big deal.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes.

“Within the swing states, if he wanted to, he could take the military capabilities and he could place them in those states and basically rerun an election in each of those states,” Flynn said in a Newsmax appearance Thursday.

The point was, "Imagine if a Democrat went on TV and asked China to interfere in our election". You may not recall, but that is exactly what Trump did with Russia. Of course, Trump was already in the Russian's pocket and on their hotel tape. Hillary was calling out Trump's behavior.

If I understand it, Dobbs and Fox is under litigation, so he couldn't comment. He was forced to present the truth only. But yeah, Fox is a bunch of pansy asses to be sure. Paid to lie. Mormonism would be a good hang out for them if they eve3r get a religious inclination.
