How Covid-19 Hollowed Out a Generation of Young Black Men
Very interesting look at why Covid-19 kills more younger black men than white men. https://www.propublica.org/article/how- ... er#1018189

The virus must be racist. Perhaps you can teach it to speak "woke."
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

I don't believe for a minute that ajax is really a typical Mormon. If all the Mormons I knew and grew up with were as callous and hateful towards others as he is, I think I would have become disenchanted by the Church much earlier than I did.Philo Sofee wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 4:58 amYu must be a Mormon, only a Mormon can be so goddamned callous. It makes me very PROUD I got away from a heinous kind of thinking. Have you NO F*CKING SHAME AT ALL?
But let's not emulate ajax by being as biased and disdainful of all Mormons as he seems to be towards minorities and immigrants, especially the less well off among them. The fact remains that though I no longer take seriously the nonsensical aspects of Mormonism and its doctrines, my closest and most beloved family members and many of the friends I hold dear are still LDS. And not all of them are blind to how obviously horrible and corrupt a human being Trump is. My son and at least two of my daughters are every bit as disgusted with Trump as I am, despite still being active LDS. How anyone raised with the moral teachings and guidance of the Church, as I was, could place their faith in someone as despicable and pathologically dishonest as Trump, is completely beyond my understanding! Nothing does more to discredit the viability of religious faith in my eyes than that his most devoted followers are devout, religious fundamentalists!
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
