So, why mention that here? Because the Hunter Biden laptop demonstrates that the RNC and Trump campaign learned that lesson and were hoping to see the same tactic used against Biden. So much of the fact check butthurt isn't over actual concern for something Hunter did but that the media didn't play along this time, reporting innuendo because that's what brings the eyeballs which bring the ad dollars. Seems that the media also learned from 2016, recognizing that reporting rumors turns rumor into fact because people aren't great at getting under the headline. The headline becomes fact, the impression it gives becomes much more significant than the information presented.
Then you claimed the emails contained information people needed to know about. You were asked to provide that. And you haven't.
Here it is again, subbie. Why bring them up? Because the entire Hunter Biden laptop scam was an attempt to use innuendo and BS rumor mongering against Joe Biden in 2020 because innuendo being reported on by the media worked in 2016 to undermine public opinion of Clinton. Email content didn't reflect the negative reporting once the initial evidence regarding the DNC favoring Hilary over Bernie had dropped just before the convention. The rest of the emails dripped out regular ridiculous stories that the public registered as, "Clinton is up to no good" despite the content of those emails not being malicious and the headlines being crazy crazy in some places.
Then this is where you say, but why doesn't the public deserve to know the truth? And the answer is the truth was simply about an attempt to undermine Clinton demonstrated by your inability to provide the content these 4 years later. There wasn't any actual damning information used in 2016 outside the initial favoritism evidence, just as Rudy was withholding the actual evidence related to the laptop in 2020 but wanting reporters to report on his claims. The media learned that reporting on rumors gives substance to rumors and learned a reasonable lesson apparently. Good for them. Then this is where you say, so the emails didn't matter, to which we are back to pointing out how the innuendo served to undermine Clinton in the public eye which was the goal with the Hunter Biden laptop lie.
