They actually wouldn't let my wife vote initially because she requested a mail in ballot which she never used, so they took a few minutes to look it up in the system and cancelled the mail in so she couldn't vote twice.

It was pretty stringent. At the end I was told to walk up to a scanner by the exit door to officially input my ballot, it was like trying to put a dollar bill into a machine. It didn't pull the ballot in the first time and I thought the old man standing by the machine was going to help with it since he was a poll worker but he said, "only you can handle your ballot, I'm forbidden by law from even touching it." So I got it to scan in the second try.
