He gets it too. But apparently it's never enough.
I just sacrificed a jelly doughnut to Dr. Peterson. While the physical doughnut went into my belly, the ineffable spiritual doughnutness wafted to Dr. Peterson.
My stomach gurgled afterwards. I took that as a sign that my offering was accepted.

Here is a guy with a career built on LDS related trivia. What do you expect? How else can he make a living? I certainly would not want my husband/father flipping burgers to ride some conceived higher law of the widow's mite.
I would guess the folks who sign up for this trip would pay the full bill. I doubt LDS Inc has anything to do with it.
In conclusion, since the church and its members support the creation of DCP-type careers in the first place, they must also be entitled to support them with the tithe-tax or whatever means necessary. I fully support the idea of funding DCP-type careers so long as I am not a full tithe payer.

You know, I pay tithing too. I put that money into a BMW, and to save the GAs the trouble, I drive that BMW so they don't have to.

This is the cruise that, If I recall correctly, Bishop Wang Chung's wife gave to him for Christmas or Father's Day or something like that. So Bishop Wang Chung's wife is the one forking over part of the mites for Peterson's first-class Professor's Suite. Probably got an extra-large jacuzzi for his head.
The question is: does Peterson have to take BYU vacation days for this jaunt around the world? Or is he "double-dipping"?
