That's some great missionary work, Fibber.

I'm truly impressed by the mental gymnastics on display from Fibber Meister. It takes a remarkable amount of effort to be this wrong while trying so hard to seem right. Fibber should probably stick to his the floor routine, because his high-bar work is just embarrassing.

Just like today’s LDS Apostles…oh…wait…
You are constantly criticizing the leaders of the church. I am assuming that at one time you may have been an active and temple worthy member of the church. If so, I think this may apply to you:
Many of us have made a sacred covenant in holy places to avoid evil speaking of the Lord’s anointed. I believe if we violate those covenants, we lose the protection of the Spirit and are vulnerable to the power of evil adversaries. As we succumb to their influences, thoughtful analysis with an intent to help and bless turns into criticism and bad mouthing with the intent to harm and debase. That negativity is not only habit forming, it’s contagious as well.

As we can see on this board. The contagion is spread and reinforced when in a closed room.

MG
The LDS Church is just trying to drag back in people to be tithe payers. If they drop tithing as mandatory for temple attendance, they'd go a long way towards legitimacy.

I think the Church needs a volume of claimed membership in order to have credibility in the religious sector. It’s why they report the number of people on the membership list, and go to great lengths to hide the number of people who actively support the Church by turning up on any given Sunday. They know they haven’t got 16 million people sustaining them as leaders, sustaining the Church. But they portray it that way because it makes them seem like leaders of a bigger organisation. In reality it’s a minority sect that’s managed to build up a massive hoard of money that they don’t know what to do with, and aren’t inspired to use it the way Christ would.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Fixed that for you.
Fixed a second time. Linked and named quotes should not be modified. Please use original quoted text only on linked and named quotes. Using the quote function when altering another person’s statement can only happen if discarding the name and link, to avoid any confusion over the authenticity of the quote. -c-

I'm truly impressed by the mental gymnastics on display from the person I admire most on this board. For him it takes seemingly effortless honesty to be this right without even trying to disguise it. Forget the floor, Fibber’s credibility hangs higher.
Fixed that for you.

I’m reasonably sure that amending someone’s comments within a quote, without explicitly showing what you’ve done, is yet another breach of acceptable posting behaviour. Please amend your behaviour and stay on topic.

It's a breach of rules and MG knows it. He's tried it before, repeatedly, and has been directly admonished by moderators for doing it. It's yet another example of his willful rule-breaking here.

Where/what in the board rules are you specifically looking? (by the way, I think flipping Wang on his head was appropriate in this instance.)

On topic? I've been following the flow of the conversation. It seems to be going all over the place. We can finish with this sidebar if you want. Just stop. Wang, just stop. Marcus, just stop. There...now we can go back to the regularly scheduled conversation. ;)
