Hammer: "God is Smiting the Bible Belt"

God just smited NC with a lot of rain last night. He smited my garden with a half-dozen irises in full bloom. He also smited my green lawn with green-ness. I haven't watered my lawn once this year so far. He smited my laceleaf Japanese maple with a bout a half foot of growth in the last three months. I'm going to the NC Zoo today to see lion and tigers. Oh my. How God smiteth the South.

I live in NC. We did have a tornado come through our area on Thursday night. It was pretty scary.

The storm blew by us. But there are other areas near us that received quite a bit of damage. The thing is, there were quite a few Church members affected, too.

I just read the MAD thread and was pleased to see Hammer rebuffed by most of the respondents.

Hammer's posts, while virulent, are too ridiculous to be hard hitting. His hammering is utterly ineffectual. I believe his moniker to be a misnomer.

If he must use the moniker "Hammer", his avatar should be:

Utah is cool. I mean, the mountains are beautiful, and the snow can be great if you ski, etc... But it's by no means "God's country". There are places that are literally breathtaking, and while Utah is nice it also has some pretty crappy downsides, too. Brine shrimp smelliness seems like smiteth-fulness to me. Also, it's very brown and ugly most of the year on the hillsides and deserts. However, it's lack of greenery also means a lack of nasty insects that like to pester non-smited people. I don't know. I think every place has upsides and downsides. To be so myopic is pathetic, though.

Well as I have been watching the disasters pummelling our country I noticed an imbalanced amount of the disasters were in this area. I wonder if the Lord is trying to tell them something. wink.gif

Hammer is a bit extreme and nuts. I think he represents few TBMs.
