For your analogy to work, I would need to have something--a unicorn horn, say--that would definitively prove the informants' allegations false. DCP and the apologists have such things: budget plans/statements, FARMS editorial remarks, etc., but they refuse to use them (which is their prerogative, of course). DCP et al. *could* definitely show that my "intel" is totally false, but they refuse to do that. What you're proposing above is based on a scenario in which the claims are totally unfalsifiable, and that's just not the same thing.

Budget Plans, Statements, FARMS Editorial Remarks, etc, those are the sorta things that DCP probably wants kept private either A) because it's a pre-made agreement or B) because he doesn't like handing them out or C) because they would be claimed to be Photoshopped, which is pretty easy in my opinion.

But I wondered if you/Simon were perhaps citing a "unicorn" for other (perhaps inadvertent) reasons.

???

I was just using Unicorn so it made sense with Simon's example... I don't really like the use of unicorn actually myself.

I think our friend TAO is aware of that. Mormonism certainly likes to see people with autistic characteristics kept in the dark.

Nope. Try again.

Oh, I agree, TAO. It's probably in DCP's best interests to keep all of those things private. But, in doing so (as I've pointed out), he is missing out on an opportunity to completely torpedo the veracity of my "intel." So, it's a compromise he's going to have to live with.

But I wondered if you/Simon were perhaps citing a "unicorn" for other (perhaps inadvertent) reasons.

That makes sense. Using the "unicorn" example makes it sound as if the MI people are involved in defending and concocting pure fantasy. So I can understand why you wouldn't like the use of it.

Yes, exactly. I quit going to church as soon as I was 17. If I kept going after leaving home and blamed it on my parents, that would be pretty immature, but I grew up and now take responsibility for myself.

It's your turn... or are you younger than 17? That would explain a lot.

Yes, yes, nothing is ever your fault. I know the drill. I have heard it many times over the years, and it is always the same song. Mommy made me do it, the Devil made me do it, anyone but myself made me do it.

Gosh Simon, I hope your kids don't decide to skip school, do drugs, shoplift or do anything against your wishes, because we all know that at age 6,7,10 or so, children make all the rules and decide what is best for them.

What the hell do dumb parents know anyway that a 9 year old doesn't?

*shrugs* He's not one to use a torpedo in that manner. It's not his style.

In fact...I think he doesn't even like torpedoing you deep in his heart actually... he just does it because he feels it's gotta be done. And then he has fun along the way.

Still, the way you use a torpedo speaks of your personality, so be aware of your techniques effects. The assumptions you make tend to come back and bite you in the neck if you know what I mean. Because there will be people who aren't like DCP, and will not hesitate to shoot the torpedo at you... and 5 more along with it.

Yes, I don't like it especially with all the references to 'magical pink unicorns' etc. I'd rather use a better example To be honest. But that's not up to me, I guess.

It seems you really believe this. Mommy/Satan apparently made you read Scratch's posts (and it's glaringly obvious that reading comprehension is not your strength).

I'm not surprised at all, but seriously, you should consider taking some responsibility for yourself. That's what adults do.

...but maybe you aren't an adult yet. I'm starting to suspect you're approximately 12 years old. If so, get off the net and go do your homework. I think I hear your momma calling you.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

Breaking news:

My informants have been diligently working to uncover Simon Belmont's Spartan roots in an attempt to understand his harsh stance on the necessity of independence of thought and action in minors. One informant who is particularly versed in 20th century philosophy and American pop culture sent me a picture of the daycare where Simon's parents placed him while they bred alpacas in rural Minnesota:

Pretty revealing, huh?

Among their teachings for tots, they include the following:

"Do you know what a baby is saying when she reaches for a bottle?"
"Ba-ba?"
"She's saying, 'I am a leech'! Our aim here is to develop the 'bottle within'."
"Petition wasn’t meant to start a witch hunt as I’ve said 6000 times." ~ Hanna Seariac, LDS apologist

Hi there, TAO. I'm not entirely sure what you mean here. Are you saying that the Mopologists are looking to exact revenge on me?

No, but they would be much more vicious than DCP can get, taking advantage of your every statement. DCP reserves himself a bit, I think...
