No complaints here.
As they say at Sic et Non, ditto and for Dastardly Stem, double ditto.

for what it's worth, since I asked if we would be given any say in choice of mods (though, of course, Shades has already made his decision on the first three), I am in favour of the three/four musketeers: Res Ipsa, Xenophon, and canpakes, and dastardly stem if he wasn't joking.

Apart from Xenophon, I've seen them post over several years between here and the mormondiscussions board. I don't remember, or cannot id, Xenophon from the old board. OTOH, I trust Shades' judgement on this decision.

Hopefully, this squad will address both the hecklers and the disrupters.

If it helps malkie I'm not sure the two of us ever had a direct interaction and I'm the "newest" member among the three listed even if I've been around for multiple years. I did post some in the Mormon related forums but on a very limited basis although I did read them often. Most of my posting contributions were limited to the Spirit forums (thus my initial willingness to restrict my mod actions to that portion of the board or Shades desired).

I think Xeno’s been around the board longer than I have. He’ll be great.

Moksha, we’ll do our best to address rule violations regardless of who commits them.

Sorry - I feel as if I didn't explain myself very well. I didn't mean to say that I have any reservations about Xenophon as mod, only that I feel as if I "know" the others, from their posting history, and I don't know Xenophon in the same way.

Xeno, my apologies if I seemed to be expressing any doubts about your abilities - definitely not my intent.

Yeah - I agree, Xeno will be a great mod. Much like Mr. Res when speaking as a man, Xeno regularly displays a consistent level of balance and fairness when he is posting as a man - So, I am very confident that both Res (who has already served this board as a mod before - and has served admirably in my opinion) and Xeno will utilize these same predictable and steady qualities in mod mode - which will result is two really good mods who have volunteered their services to and for all of us.

(It's Canpakes that I'm worried about!) Kidding! :)

by the way - I'm still not sure if Stem was/is serious - But if he was/is, I think he would be a really good mod as well.

No, you were fine. Just wanted to increase your comfort level.
