Weeks after the election, we see continually increasing infection rates across most states and the danger of ICUs in many places becoming overrun with patients, leaving ajax to need to invent a new reason for the continued existence of coronavirus. I’m curious to see what the new conspiracy will be.

It could be anything, but if the people involved look different than ajax, that's even better for his narrative. He isn't one to let idiocy get in the the way of his opinions.

Interesting set of opinions indeed. I also thank Jersey Girl for posting that link.

I thought both sides had some well thought out and persuasive arguments, and that both sides gave due consideration to both the public health issues and the first amendment rights issues. I get the impression that the real argument was not so much over any conflict between religious freedom and public health, as whether or not the lawsuit was still relevant now that the disputed Executive Order was no longer being enforced.

Seems to me that religious people have a sacred duty to kill with COVID on both Bizarro and Trump worlds. Elsewhere they should abstain from activities that can lead to death if they were to follow their own code of ethics. This does not apply to the LDS faith which has no code, systemic or otherwise beyond the immediate will of their prophet and his legal department.

I could understand that. It isn't mandatory for people 60+ to come to sacrament meeting at least in my stake. I've personally suffered with the lack of fellowship with the saints and I think a lot of our older members have as well. They're kind of tired of our zoom elders quorum meetings. We used to have elders quorum members go and sit with an older member with mild dementia a few hours just to give his wife a break. Some don't even want to allow us to do that.

Your assertion that so-called blue state leaders are using the crisis to generate fear in a bid for more power makes NO logical sense at all. Power over what? A failing economy? The high unemployment rates? Food insecurity? Stress burdens on health care workers?

You ask: But what's more important to them? It's not you or the people they've put out of a job through their restrictions.

Well that's easy for you say given your income stays about the same whether we're locked down or not. I understand that. 70 million of us didn't want any more shutdowns. I'll never understand how 80 million people voted to shut it down again. There's surely a lot of people among those 80 million even counting the voter fraud that were seriously hurt by this lockdown.

You're also still getting paid (albeit with inflated money) whether we shutdown or not. In fact I think most on this board didn't see a loss of income due to these shutdowns.

You need to open your lens a bit more, my friend. Lockdowns weren't the only reason that people voted the way they did. Certainly, lockdowns weren't even on my mind when I voted this year. I am sure there are many more like me. I dunno, maybe 80 million or so.

To tie lockdowns in with the presidential election has no basis in logical fact. Our President doesn't have the authority nor the power to institute lockdowns.
