I take it, then, that you are saying that Alma really existed and was a real prophet?
Because you couldn't
possibly be a hypocrite who urges others to follow religious leaders he himself doesn't believe in now, could you?

In your opinion.
An opinion that just happens to be serviceable to your accusation.
An accusation based entirely upon a falsehood.
LDSToronto wrote:Thus, Alma says you are a murderer. Look, don't blame the messenger, I'm simply pointing out what Alma says about you, and people like you. If you don't like what Alma says about your behaviour, take it up with God.
No, you are not "pointing out" any such thing. You are making a tendentious eisegetical argument, and I shall be content to take it up with you. You are not the "messenger," you are the fabricator of the message.

Ergo, your apostasy had nothing to do with me.
In fact, as you and I both know, your apostasy was already terminal the first time I ever responded to one of your posts. You were just in denial about it then.
LDSToronto wrote:Pahoran wrote:Your attempt to hang your apostasy on me is just a tired, shopworn anti-Mormon mind game.
I own my apostasy. Recall, I said the you strengthened my resolve. The resolve was already there, you just added to it.
So you keep saying. And the question you keep evading is this: if you had never seen a post from me, would you have stayed faithful to the Church for
one whole minute longer?
Answer: No. You would not.
Would you like to know how I know you would not?
Easy: Because I had nothing to do with Proposition 8, which was the
real catalyst for your apostasy.
LDSToronto wrote:Pahoran wrote:You uttered the following slogan: "each time you tear down instead of building up."
Just this once, try to be honest: is there anything at all that I could have said that you would have construed as "building up" instead of "tearing down?"
Ya, it's simple: be nice. That's all. Just be nice. Of course, I think you've been given that advice before.
More evasion. Try giving a "straight" answer (so to speak.) What could you regard as "nice" that did not affirm and encourage your apostasy? For example, when I said that President Packer was a man of God, you did not seem to regard that as being "nice." So evidently being "nice" to you precludes being "nice" to those you despise.

Pahoran
