I don't like that our elected leaders had to cower from a bunch of evil Nazi dudes. If they were not toting the confederate flag you might feel the same way.
The dude in the picture at that site is different. I think the photo you posted in this thread has been doctored.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:15 pmYou’re just seeing things. It’s actually Florida Man:

Read my lips: I. Don't. Care. What. Mr. Zakaria. Says. In. His. Article. Whatever. He. Says. Has. Nothing. To. Do. With. What. I. Think.Dr Exiled wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 6:55 pm
Read Mr. Zakaria's article. It seems that he equates what any advertiser or the Mormon church does for that matter, with Russia, that is repeating a message over and over again. He makes a broad claim about what any advertiser or propagandist would do, then attaches Russia to it, and voila, Russia supposedly hacked our minds. Anyway, I thought since Biden won, maybe Russia hysteria would subside a bit. However, I guess we need to be forever on guard because there are others out there who might not agree with the correct narrative.
To your response, so you actually are blaming me for what happened yesterday, because I think the "Russia made people vote in Trump" meme to be a weak dodge, designed to distract people from looking at Clinton/DNC emails? Trump almost won and Biden needed a huge turnout otherwise perhaps Trump would have won. Maybe it is time to figure out why people like Trump? What's going on in the country for people to want to vote for a braggart like Trump? Certainly Russia didn't force people to vote one way or another. Perhaps the fact that incomes have been slowly eroding over the past 40 to 50 years has something to do with it? Perhaps Clinton's third way in the 90's where he started taking wall street money and selling out the people had something to do with it? Bush II was horrible and a war criminal, then Obama sided with the bankers and kept the wars going despite the nice hope and change slogan. People are fed up. Perhaps it is the economy that is causing the stress? Maybe the pandemic has something to do with it too?
Even so, hopefully Biden and his administration will take a hard look at the causes of Trumpism and provide an antidote. I think Trump is a symptom of what's wrong as Jimmy Dore, the comedian/commentator says. I bet if Biden offered medicare for all and ended the wars, no one would touch him, despite what the Russians may be planning, if anything.

ETA: I'm just examining the two photos side by side, and I suppose it's possible it's two different snaps taken consecutively, but I think it's more likely one's doctored.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/liv ... a368e6eaeeWilliam Barr accused Trump of “orchestrating a mob to pressure Congress.” The former attorney general, who left office late last month, described the president’s conduct as a “betrayal of his office and supporters.”
Here is what you said:Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:24 pmRead my lips: I. Don't. Care. What. Mr. Zakaria. Says. In. His. Article. Whatever. He. Says. Has. Nothing. To. Do. With. What. I. Think.Dr Exiled wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 6:55 pm

You can't even accurately summarize what I said, let alone the evidence of what Russia actually did in 2016.
I'm not surprised that you draw your political wisdom from a comedian.
by the way, you're a lawyer and should know how government works. You know that Biden can't "offer" medicare for all.
What led to the cult of Trump is obvious if you'd open your god damned eyes.
So, what did they do beyond the few Facebook ads? I remember arguing with you over how a few Facebook ads can spread like wildfire with you telling me that I didn't understand how a few ads could be so effective. So, there was more? What? Could you give a thumbnail sketch or will you cop out and give a reading assignment? Anyway, I have a hard time believing the narrative because it looks so much like a dodge to take attention off of the emails wikileaks provided. Also, there are the notes from Brennan and the unredacted admission from crowdstrike that it didn't have any evidence that any data was ever exfiltrated (or hacked).Even after an extensive bi-partisan report on what the Russians did during the 2016 election, we still have folks here spreading the lie that all they did was buy a few Facebook ads.
I know this doesn't quite answer your question, but I thought it was an interesting insight into the process when an anonymous staffer said that in his final, pre-recorded video message on Twitter where he was supposed to say 'stop the violence,' Trump ad-libbed the comments about stolen election and supporting the mob, and patriots being so unfairly treated, which in my opinion were the things that got his Twitter account suspended for potentially inciting violence. So his staff is trying, but then they still posted it, which to me shows there is NO control, and NO guarantee things won't go badly again.MeDotOrg wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 8:35 pmI would love to know the who, what, where, when, why and how of last night in White House. Trump released his statement after 3am. Who talked with him? What did they say? What did he say?
There is scientific evidence that the earth is spinning faster. Maybe that's why it feels like history is being compressed. How much history can happen between now and January 20th? And there's the 'oh, by the way' fact of a Pandemic killing thousands of Americans each week.
And AFTER 1/20/21, I would imagine there will be an EXPLOSION of legal activity against Trump. I also think you will see a lot more facts revealed as the seal of the Presidency is torn away.
I was glad to put 2020 in the rearview mirror. Be careful what you wish for.
