Dang, my seminary teachers sucked.
Mine did, too! We never learned any of that stuff, either!

Seminary and Institute was where I learned all the things the critics insist most 'Chapel Mormons' don't know. Joseph Smith's Polygamy we discussed for a whole week. The changes in the Book of Mormon and the D&C? Check, covered.
All these 'faithful' Saints who fell away when they found out all the secretive stuff the Church was hiding must have slept through it.
This is confirmed by my daughter. After our conversation I had a similiar feeling that he exers may not be on the up and up about it all. My daughter knew all about Emma and her anger etc. It seems that they spend some time on it all. The exers must have been sleeping or they joined at a later age. One cannot actually claim victim in all this.

I call bulls***. The lessons in Seminary are mandated to be followed and are prescribed with set timelines in order to get through it all. All material must be accepted. I seriously doubt you.

Did your daughter's ST tell the students that Joseph Smith constantly lied to Emma about practicing polygamy?
Did he/she tell your daughter that he deliberately mislead the saints over and over by publicly denying polygamy while privately practicing it?
Or, in fact, did your daughter know that Emma was angry because Joseph Smith wanted to practice polygamy?
Or did she know that Joseph Smith married other women, without knowing any of these crucial details?
I guess you did not pay attention to the part about the required marriage in the temple? ;)The Nehor wrote:Mercury wrote:The Nehor wrote:Indoctrination?

You're welcome to but my experience was what it was. I had intelligent, faithful teachers who knew their stuff and could answer questions and would expand on the history of what happened when and circumstances surrounding events.
