Romney spokesman Kevin Madden defended the presidential candidate's response. "Gov. Romney simply believes that a public office is a public trust," Madden said. "He believes when a public official enters a guilty plea, they have broken that public trust and should step aside for the sake of their constituents."
Does Mitt believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ? Does Mitt believe that all have fallen short, as the Gospel teaches, and that by faith and repentence, our sins may become white as snow?
Or does Mitt only care about maintaining a sqeaky-clean, return missionary (and one who never masterbated at that) facade? Does Mitt only care about portraying, militantly, a faux department-store-picture-frame-family picture-insert of the Mormon lifestyle that many teens have committed suicide over for falling short of, or is there room in Mitt's gospel, and his heart, for the prodigal son?
Does Mitt believe in repentance? Or does he only believe in ruling by the iron fist of present-day Mormon fascism? Jesus requested the pharisees, those rotten snakes, to refrain from throwing their stones. But like a modern-day Hitler, Mitt stretches his hand forth, palm open and downturned, and demands the public to fire at will. By leading the masses in a show of "public distrust", he secretly aligns them, tempting them with self-righteousness, to his valiant and incorruptible cause.
For all the Mormon talk about their gospel of Jesus, it's too bad they can't get a candidate out who believes in his message.
