You are arguing against nothing. (sigh)
I am arguing against statement made here that there are people who think God did not command plural marriage. That God wouldn't command plural marriage.
There is a big difference between claiming that one knows what God thinks, and discounting the notion that God demands/commands humans to engage in horrific behavior. To suggest that one does not believe various men who claim to know the will of God, is not the same thing as saying, "I know what God thinks."
I wrote," Who has ever said all women would think this way or that way? "
Charity replies, "
Every post that says plural marriage was a crock and Joseph Smith made it up, is saying that. And there have been numerous posts about what marriage between one man and one woman is supposed to be and there oculdn't possibly be a satisfactory arrangment between 1 man and 2 women."
I doubt you would find one such post.
You either misread or misunderstand.
My observation is that most folks here could truly care less what sorts of alternative mating arrangments folks engage in, so long as they are adults and are free from coercion and manipulation... and children are not hurt.
Suggesting God was not at the helm of Joseph Smith's horrific behavior is much different than suggesting there are not those folks who want to engage in various unusual or alternative forms of mating.
And in the future I will post a bunch of short posts when I see one person make a specific statement. it will mean a proliferation of posts if I can't address the same issue with one post. But you want it that way, you got it.
I'm sorry, I have no idea what this statement means or what is your point, or what you think I want, but please feel free to post however suits you. This board is pretty good this way.
