Besides, neither I---nor anyone else on this thread---is saying definitively that, "The Church led him to commit murder." I'm merely saying that there is nothing wrong with examining some of the LDS-related things which may or may not have contributed to his mental state. We have no problem doing this in the case of Islamic terrorists, now do we? Further, it just seems very striking that, in only a year's time, this young man would go from "welcoming religion into his life"---i.e., the LDS Church---to going on a murderous rampage.
I would be curious to learn, either from his family members or his ward members, why he decided to go inactive.
