What I'd really like to see, when Ray has the time, is any comment by myself, Beastie, Scratch, Shades, PP, Rollo, Guy, Joe Schmoe, Mercury, Infamous, or any "usual" "anti-Mormons" on this board who have made violence-laden comments or jokes on par with this bit from Ray:

Q: What is the difference between a dead dog in the road and a dead anti-Mormon in the road?
A: There are skid marks in front of the dog.

yeah, it's a "lawyer joke" rip off, but it's pretty bad considering Ray has specifically called Beastie and others here "anti-Mormons" and it's in the context of heated debates. Honestly, I'm near 100% certain none on the list I put up above would make that joke about Mormons. And I'm 99% sure none of them would make it about apologists who they debate with.

Oh no no no. I don't think you want anti-Mormons dead or want to cause harm to them. It's just pushing the lines to joke about it. In the context of heated discussions it's really pushing the lines. And I don't see any anti-Mormons here pushing those same boundaries. A lot of people with bigoted attitudes would feel comfortable substituting "Mormon", "Jew", "black", "Gay" for "Lawyer" in your joke, think it's funny and everyone should have a sense of humor, and have no intention of carrying out or hoping for real harm to come across their target. But its humor that pushes the envelope in ways I don't see any critics on this board doing with Mormons. If any of my bro's here made that joke, I'd be sending a fast PM and advising them to be careful and think about what they're doing.

Please no more threads on what RayA or DCP said etc. Its getting boring. Please more of Beastie's and Kevin's substantive comment on the Book of Mormon and Book of Abraham. I come here for balance as the Mormon critics here do not get booted when they start to rattle the cage of the TBMs like they do on the other board.

I'm sure you've convinced yourself with your own explanation for why you don't find Ray's threats "fascinating". Personally, I find this statement of yours from the same above linked thread to provide some insight:

Three or four times, after returning from month-long trips off the continent during which I've been completely without computer access, having posted and published nothing during the interim, I've returned and, out of curiosity, done a search on the oddly-named "Recovery" board for my name. Invariably, without exception, there have been at least a couple of dozen posts during my absence discussing my insanity, my obscene obesity, my sexual perversity, my dishonesty, my viciousness, my lack of ethics, my pathetic writing skills, and/or my incompetence as a scholar. I don't have to do anything to inspire such outbursts.

People on RFM, as far as I've seen, don't go around threatening Mormons. The worst you could find, in that regard, was a "time travel" post about killing Joseph Smith. Yes, they make fun of Mormons, and they especially make fun of you. I think that is what fascinates you, not that it's really some incubation for future nazi mass murderers, as much as you insinuate on the same thread. Because if it were really the fact that it's incubating future mass murderers that fascinates you, minds like Ray's should be more fascinating than people making fun of you.

Rollo is possibly the most balanced, and it will be hard to fault him in this regard, as it will be to fault Shades. Beastie shouldn't have gone off her rocker at Bob. You made a mistake to include PP, Schmo, Scratch, Mercury, and "Infamous" (Infymus).

Happily, it's wrong altogether and in every particular.

By contrast, while, in and of itself, your likely alteration of a personal message (so strikingly similar to your apparent earlier behavior) doesn't precisely make you a monster, it does seem to point (once again) to your being both malicious and deliberately dishonest.
