Any organization has a right to respond how they want to their images. And as nasty as you and your website get, I can honestly understand.
There is a difference between a critic and you. A critic has an intellectual debate. You just stamp your feet and cry all the time "Mormon, Inc." The "Mormon Cult", the "F**K Gordon", and all the other crap you spew, I welcome any attempt they can make against people like you.
I think an intellectual and critical website can exist without all the childish sprinklings peppered throughout the rants...

Joseph Smith, you must be one angry spiteful person. All you do is spew out hatred for people like me.
This is exactly your tactic. You are always on the attack. Did mommy not give you enough attention?

Maybe critical sites could try using a picture of a devil with a trumpet instead.
Ultimately I think the Church needs to get over it.... And yes it should fall under parody.. But can you really blame them? Some of these websites are obsene... And if they are going after obsene websites, I am sure they have to spread it around. If they are going to control the image, they have to do it to everyone, parody or not.

On a side note, the church can copyright a logo, but can they copyright a historic figure, such as the Angel Moroni? Could I start a business called "The Angel Moroni's Coffee Shop" featuring my own original image of Moroni drinking a cup of joe? I think that's where the coffee shop screwed up. They used a copyrighted logo instead of a non-copyrighted person.

I was thinking that. It certainly hurts us LDS... I can believe in the LDS church, but still think some of the PR need to get some better training.

It's probably not a "Copyright" it's more likely to be a "Trademark". There are differences, maybe one of the lawyers types here can clarify it for us.

If I had said this, you'd have attacked me as being Anti-Mormon full of hatred.

You OTOH, can say this and it is OK?
No... This is how YOU would say it:
"I think the dumbasses at Mormon, Inc. have continued their cultish tactics and must stop poisoning the people with its lies!"
See the difference, homeslice? Your approach sucks.
