Maher is first and foremost, an entertainer not a "pundit" as Coggins claims.
Maher is anti-organized religion, not anti-God (That's for Gaz)
As Bond pointed out, Maher's comments regarding shape shifting were a valid comparison between the track record of the church on issues such as polygamy and blacks holding the priesthood...and Romney's wiggling around on issues. Same exact thing.
Now..why can't people answer a simple question without others having to pull their teeth?
I didn't say he was a pundit, but he certainly seems to think of himself as one and functions in that capacity at times. He is also a typical liberal celebrity twit, and therefore, when he does function in that capacity, he makes an abject fool of himself. But again, so do most Hollywood celebrities when they open their mouths upon serious subjects, so Maher is not an island in the culture of which he is a part.
