Some of the women at MAD said they rather liked the idea of having sister-wives.

Really?bcspace wrote:If we assumed God sanctioned the FLDS to continue as Joseph Smith did, is the current FLDS polygamy a good thing in your eyes?
Since we cannot so assume, the FLDS practice is a bad thing, not being sanctioned by the Lord.

What in the world does this mean? :-)
Are you saying these women like the idea of having their women friends sleeping with their husbands?
I mean seriously, a woman can have great, close friends, without these friends having sex with her husband? To be honest, it sounds really weird to me that women somehow enjoy the idea of their husbands sleeping with other women
Have you seen that Jack in the Box commercial, where Jack and his wife are in a hot tub with another couple who look like aged pornstars, and they are discussing trying new things? Some women like the idea of sharing their husbands with their friends. These people are called swingers.
bcspace wrote:Do you see any situation where a non-LDS group could be authorized by god to practice it.
No.Maybe they are practicing it based on their interpretation of god's commandments.
I say, let them according to my proviso listed previously. In other words, how do you know a non-LDS polygamous group is in violation of god?
Simply by being nonLDS.

Stop the polygamists or the Mormons? Is this with or without the aid of the Danites?

Alma 34:32-35:
[32] For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors.
[33] And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many witnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed.
[34] Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful crisis, that I will repent, that I will return to my God. Nay, ye cannot say this; for that same spirit which doth possess your bodies at the time that ye go out of this life, that same spirit will have power to possess your body in that eternal world.
[35] For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold, ye have become subjected to the spirit of the devil, and he doth seal you his; therefore, the Spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you, and hath no place in you, and the devil hath all power over you; and this is the final state of the wicked.
