Except I said I did care. Oh well, Nehor is as Nehor does.

You're kidding but there's always truth in a joke. You will fall away, Will. It's inevitable. Your beard and hair over the collar are sure signs of impending apostasy.

(Too bad that you're unaware that every word you wrote is true, however.)

Alas, I expected this reaction. I guess I should have waited until tomorrow . . .

I would hope, for your sake, that your post is truthful. However, you don't seem either angry or sad enough to be genuine.

I suppose that's the reaction you would commonly expect. However, some of us simply went through the anger/sadness stage deep within ourselves -- suppressing it, hiding it, concealing it from everyone until we could learn how to dispose of it on our own terms. Some people are able to share those kinds of feelings in a public setting. Some people are not. Besides, I think one must let go of the anger and sadness along with the delusions -- otherwise all you've done is exchange one set of chains for another. Don't you agree?

You, of course, are the one who -- more than anyone else -- has helped me to come to this point in time. You made me realize that, no matter the cost in terms of how others might view you and act toward you, you have to be man enough -- no, Dude enough -- to stand up for what you believe, or don't believe, as the case may be.

By the way, I haven't seen No Country for Old Men yet. It never played here in my little hamlet in southern Utah. I need to go get the DVD and watch it --- it's been released on DVD, right?

Of course, your favorite Cohen brothers movies are different ones than mine are. At least I think they are. My favorite (in fact, it's my current favorite movie of all time) is Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?, followed closely by The Hudsucker Proxy. I kind of got the impression that No Country was more like Miller's Crossing, and so I haven't been as enthusiastic as I might have been if it were a comedy. At any rate, the Cohen brothers are, in my opinion, the best American filmmakers at this point in time.

I'm not attempting to join anyone's "team." That's the mistake many of you make, if you ask me. This isn't a contest between two teams. It's life. Live it or leave it. I don't plan on sticking around and attempting to convince others to see things the way I see them. It'll never happen. Like the poet said:

All lies and jest.
Still a man sees what he wants to see
And disregards the rest.

People only see what they're looking for. It's always been that way. And that is something that will never change, so why bother trying?

Holy Cow, Will. It almost sounds like you're not joking.
