There's a difference. I know that close reading of texts -- or, for that matter, reading of texts -- isn't necessarily your thang, but there is a difference.

Vielleicht. Auf allen Fällen habe ich nur zwei Universitätsdiplome. Obwohl ich die Doktorwürde errungen habe, besitze ich keinen Magister.

I just knew you were less qualified than I am. Now I feel like a big man.

Don't get too big for your britches. I know several institutions -- including one in Melbourne, Australia -- that could put me back in the lead within a couple of weeks for only, say, a few hundred bucks at the most.

Poor Dan.

It takes a master teacher to reach the class that others have dismissed as "slow". Above average students can succeed with even a half-assed teacher, and even average students can usually reach satisfactory levels with such a teacher. It's the "slow classes" that weed out the truly good teachers from those who simply teach out of the lack of anything better to do.

by the way, you do realize my original post was a joke, don't you? I'm actually beginning to think you didn't get it.

But sometimes even a master teacher fails.

Not every high school science student is going to win a Nobel Prize.

Yes, but it takes a whole buck to become a minister the way I did!
