bcspace, he's 75. No doubt his church experience was a LOT different from yours or mine. Everything was a lot different, 75 years ago.

For BC if anyone differs or has a different set of experiences in the church they were never really active or not a member or on an on. Reality to BC means his experience the way he sees it. Everyone else is irrelevant.

I was revisiting this very persuasive explanation of Mormon doctrine by John Larsen and I find it to be very difficult to refute. Any new thoughts on the matter?

Why not simply go by what the Church has actually said about it's own doctrine?

You can speak definitively on the subject of adultery without taking a lover.

As a spectator of this constant haranguing of Nehor, I often wonder if it is just fun-like buddy-banter and joshing? Sort-of like kids in the play ground... Or, is it really mean-spirited bullying? As it otherwise would be... I too find it disturbing. Explaination? Answer please?

What you are observing is an exercise in first class asshole-ism. What is intriguing about this behavior is that it tends to occur in extremists on both sides of Mormonism (the extreme critics and the extreme TBM's).
