Your experience doesn't seem to fit the reality. Hence the doubt. I stand by my words.

bcspace, he's 75. No doubt his church experience was a LOT different from yours or mine. Everything was a lot different, 75 years ago.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Horse pucky. Besides, his experience is first hand; yours isn't.

For BC if anyone differs or has a different set of experiences in the church they were never really active or not a member or on an on. Reality to BC means his experience the way he sees it. Everyone else is irrelevant.

Why not simply go by what the Church has actually said about it's own doctrine?

"get the church right"? What does that mean?

What you are observing is an exercise in first class asshole-ism. What is intriguing about this behavior is that it tends to occur in extremists on both sides of Mormonism (the extreme critics and the extreme TBM's).
BC has shown first class asshole-ism toward you in his baseless accusation that you were never an active member.
Collegeterrace has shown his first class asshole-ism in his baseless accusation of Nehor of being a closeted gay man.
See how that works?
My advice would be to ignore BOTH assholes, because they really aren't adding anything productive to the discussion.
