I'd call harmony a Mormon mostly on account that she says she is one. Had she not made that explicit, I would have believed her a lapsed or disaffected Mormon.

True, and I never suggested otherwise.

But the tangibility of the plates means that they were real, which corroborates an important element of Joseph's story and removes it from the realm of purely subjective hallucination.

Why did he not show the plates to Emma's father Isaac Hale? If they were as real as you seem to believe the witnesses claim, then would they not have been as real to Isaac to physically see and feel?

Or was he in the wrong frame of mind?

I am trying to tell you that what you said contradicts what the witnesses described.

There is no conflict.

Since you know extremely well what the witnesses said, please enlighten me with something they said that demonstrates that the golden plates were used or were even present during the translation.

Otherwise there IS a conflict.

There is a lot of LDS art I don't particularly care for. I came to a point in my faith when I realized some of the artists depictions were not how I would personally depict things. I felt okay about it and looked for art that better suited my taste.

Doesn't that strike you as deceitful. If not, why?
