It does not have to be. Just because it was for others is not a cause and affect.
Neither you nor I knows why the Form 990 preparer chose to use the BYU address for most the board members, but the home address of DCP. For all we know, it could have been his/her way of designating who was paid directly and who was paid indirectly via BYU.
Whether FARMS paid the $20,400 directly to DCP or indirectly to DCP (through BYU) is immaterial, in my opinion. FARMS, in fact, paid $20,400 to DCP for his services as "Board Chair."
Wrong. It could have been paid to BYU for his time and NOT paid to DCP.
I disagree. Whether FARMS paid it directly to DCP, or indirectly through BYU, DCP was paid for his time and services as board chair of FARMS (unless, of course, BYU docked DCP's pay for the time he was at FARMS, which I don't believe DCP has claimed here).
