Just for the record:

I've always acknowledged that I can't prove and don't know for certain that the " Mister Scratch" who maligned me rather crudely on RfM was the same as the "Mister Scratch" who was devoting considerable effort to attacking me at the same time on the board formerly known as FAIR (and who now devotes the bulk of his time and effort to attacking me, and people and things connected with me, here on MDB). But no other clearly distinct "Mister Scratch" has ever turned up, and, for various reasons, I came to the conclusion some years ago that the probability that the two "Scratches" were one and the same was very high. (His monomaniacal crusade against me here, now roughly two years old, only seems to strengthen that conclusion.) I don't think he was falsely accused.

I think that you should consider the fact that he engaged you a victory.

I presume that he already does, which is one of the considerations (along with the sheer pointless futility of the exercise) that's causing me to lose interest in engaging him further.

The posters are about evenly divided in their views of DCP, from what I have read here. So, you have been able to influence posters' opinion of DCP, for better or worse.

That doesn't seem obvious to me. Do you really think that I ever enjoyed an approval rating here higher than 50%? I very much doubt it.

As for me, you can count me as a fan with the caveat that I am skeptical of some of your obfuscations and non-answers. You have a unique talent of being able to pick and choose which parts of an argument you wish to address and ignoring the parts where you have no good answer. I think you have chosen a niche field that frightens many people and allows you to make yourself appear smarter than you actually are. Not that you aren't smart... just not as smart as the DCP worshipers think you are.

I very much enjoy your posts, even though I don't agree with your outcomes most time. Your posts make me laugh...often!!
