I don't think it was the media that yawned; it was the people. Which substantive "scandals" did you feel were ignored? Are you also complaining about McCain's scandals that were ignored? (yes, he was cheating on his wife).[quote]I live in the Chicago area and local columnists like John Kass have done a much better job of covering BHO than the mainstream media. here are a couple of examples of scandals which were barely covered:
1) The Nadhmi Auchi deal when BHO bought his house with Tony Rezko
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/w ... 433485.ece
What did BHO promise in return for the $3.5M for Rezko
2) The Yesse Yehudah deal
http://hillbuzz.wordpress.com/2008/12/1 ... h-in-2001/
A guy who ran against Obama and nine of his supporters (this article says five but I’ve heard it’s ten) suddenly decide to give $1K each to BHO’s campaign. Then they get a grant for $75K. How many other deals are there like this one? Instead of investigating, the mainstream media spent its time attacking Sarah Palin.
3) The Rev. Wright case was covered but BHO was clealy lying through his teeth. One local speculation is that BHO at one time was planning to run for mayor in which case the racist Wright would not be a problem. See for example
