If I were still a believer I'd be feeling mighty relieved about now. As an unbeliever I feel some respect for the Maxwell Institute.
Still, isn't Will self-employed in some non-church related field?
Will is a private contractor who does IT work. Apologetics is a side-line.
Also, one really shouldn't be in apologetics to make money. If they are, they will be sorely disappointed.
From an academic standpoint, I think that Will "cooked his own goose", so to speak, when he betrayed an ethical confidence by:
1. Posting Trevor's in real life information on a public forum (MAD).
2. Revealing knowledge that Trevor submitted an article to FAIR. Submissions were supposed to be private. As a review committee member, Will had no business publishing any of that information on a public forum.
I think that the combination of that incident and the misogynistic comments were what tipped the scales.
