Hello,

Wait. Mr. Molok and Mr. MM feel bad for Mr. Schryver? Uh... WHAT??? This is a hobby of his. And he was clearly, and viciously mean to women on this forum.

I have to know. I really do. What do you feel bad about? And why didn't you express the same sentiment when he was abusing women?

Of course Will's Book of Abraham stuff is not a career but, besides this point...

Will is nasty, filthy, vulgar, crude, and verbally abusive to women. His hope for publication is dashed because of his disgusting behavior and someone feels bad for him?

Do you think he cares? Do you think he wishes he behaved differently? Do you think he even remotely believes he did something inappropriate? Do you think he isn't laughing his head off as he tries to convince himself that he really didn't do anything, "wrong," but someone had to pull the plug, (even though they didn't want to), because someone was related to someone who knew someone, or some such nonsense.

Y'all know he will convince himself that he is really thankful for this thread, that Jack's reputation is forever harmed, that she did him a great favor, that the folk at MI are secretly supporting him, (and snickering at the nastiness), but they had to take this measure for... fill in the blank reason.

Hmmm, not getting why anyone is feeling sorry for Will.

I agree it is unfortunate. However, it was Will's decision to embark on an academic body of work. When anyone embarks upon an academic body of work, one has a responsibility to respect the ethics associated with those involved. Will blatantly failed to do that, and suffered the consequences.

Maybe it's just my suspicious nature, but I can't help but wonder if the real reason NAMI decided not to publish Will's Book of Abraham apologetic arguments is because they realized it was crap? Yeah, I realize NAMI isn't exactly a source of good arguments, but I think too many apologists were beginning to realize that Will's arguments are complete garbage. His public misogyny is just a convenient excuse.

Of course it is all Jack's fault.

Naughty Jack for gathering all Will's nasty, vulgar posts in one place.

(sigh)

Do you want to post this news flash on the other board or should I?

Hmm. Pahoran's appearance on this thread has got me wondering. Pah has published with FARMS, so maybe he's among the "circle of scholars" that Will mentioned earlier? I.e., Pahoran thinks this kind of misogynist behavior is amusing? It certainly wouldn't surprise me.

Since you asked: I am not part of any circle. I also think Will's use of trash-talk is inappropriate and in bad taste. It's also especially unfortunate in that, by determinedly gleaning this handful of trash-talk instances out of thousands of posts, Auntie Jack seems to have managed to (at least temporarily) delayed publication of research to which the trash in question is entirely irrelevant.
