I think wenglund just means that some of his posts were moved to the terrestrial forum.

So his posts were moved to a forum that is, I think, more widely read than the one in which they were originally posted, not deleted from the board, like they do on MADD

And wenglund was not banned ('cos, like, here he still is), like they do on MADD.

It was on the Dante's Polygamy thread. I can read it now I just see I am banned from the thread. I posted I thought the worst would be Maria and Sarah Lawrence because Joseph was both their husband and legal guardian at the time. However that such a relationship probably does have scriptural support.

Personally, I think there is a "rouge" Mod on the board..... It hasn't been operating FAIR like it generally used to be. Of course, I was banned once before for simply copying a statement from another forum and asking MADB thoughts on the comment. I only wanted more input given that the other board was dead. Oddest thing I've ever heard of. Maybe the rouge Mod is a long-timer who's just not as "sharp" as he/she should be.

The moderation has been better and worse at the same time imho.

Indeed. They seem to have a very high sensitivity to conservative/libertarian oriented posters who foray too far into political territory (even when said forays are clearly gospel relevant) while allowing certain other posters with alternate political orientations to foray all they please.

Glen Beck/Limbaugh/Hannity bashing is also given substantial leeway, usually ending in the locking of threads, not bannings.

I don't know what Consig said to produce this reaction, but what I can say is that I've been threatened with banning, and been removed from participation in threads for reasons that are still as opaque to me now as when it occurred.

There is personal animus among some of the moderators there regarding certain individuals, as well as allowance for bendings of the rules for others within a particular intellectual orbit and who can produce advanced academic degrees as a kind of meal ticket (there is, yes, a whiff of intellectual class snobbery there, and always has been. Those with advanced degrees within a formal educational setting are always allowed a bit of benefit of the doubt over autodidacts).

Not understanding what the point in the mind of the mod who banned him is, however, I could only venture best guesses.

Let me try this again: Consig was not banned for his Will thread. His banning occured because of his responses and his flippant attitude.

In that case, Loyd Ericson shouldn't have lasted more than a couple of threads there. But Ericson has a degree, has published in Element etc. He has a kind of intellectual "street cred" there that it is difficult not to think, given my long experience there, has more to do with a kind of intellectual class collegiality than with his attitude, which has always been snarky, flippant, and abrasive toward those who disagree with him.

Your point has merit, but I don't think it takes into account the full range of dynamics in play there.

I can vouch for that from personal experience.

Spin it however you wish. However, rationally, if people have a problem with the alleged over-reaction of so-called MAD moderators, then they ought to have the same, if not more problem with moderation of the celestial forum here. But, they don't.

For my part, I don't have a problem with either boards moderation--and this from a guy who has been banned more often from LDS related discussion boards than any of the people complaining here.

As a example of the animus that exists there against some specific posters, I would point to my own case, in which that animus is so deep they have apparantly blocked my IP address, or taken some similar measure, because for the last couple of months, at least, I cannot even access the MADboard website.

Are you using the old web address (http://www.mormonapologetics.org/)? If so, it is inoperable. I believe the new address is:
