I noticed this in a picture on a friend's Facebook account who attended a stake dance a few years ago:
I would like to direct your attention to the bottom of this sign, where it says, "No Lustful Thoughts!"
Ya gotta love it!
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)
Just wondering (can't quite read the text), is the illustration delineating the separation required for dance partners? Looks to be about six feet. At that distance, lustful thoughts would be kept to a minimum (although I would still have some).
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Hold it. Does it really have a picture of the Book of Mormon...indicating that one needs to fit between the dance partners??? We used to joke about that. I didn't think it was an actual rule.
LOL!
What do the other rules say. I can make out "Choose the Right!" and that's about it.

I'm taking a stab here, but I think the rules read:
CLEAN SHAVEN NO SHORTS NO PROVOCATIVE DANCING CHOOSE THE RIGHT
Oooh, that looks about right. Thanks!

Why is the guy in the picture wearing a towel?

Me? I wanna know why the women's column says, "clean shaven," too.
There were plenty of Mormon chicks in my old stake down in Texas for whom this rule would have been totally appropriate. Made you grateful for that Book of Mormon length space between you, tell you what.

Yes, indeedy it was! My thoughts were not lustful, they were more of the fantasizing about the deep emotional relationship that particular dance-victim. . . err I mean dance-partner of mine, might blossom into. And how he'd be my Celestial soul-mate 4eva! *sigh* I guess that's how girls and boys are different. Oh the innocence of childhood!
