As long as she is still in High School and under her parent's roof, her parents have a say in who she dates, where she goes, etc.

Well, is she planning on getting her own apartment and completly supporting herself after next week?
That would be my criteria. Actually, it currently IS my criteria. My oldest daughter is attending college at UNCG, is working, and has her own apartment. She is an adult. She comes and goes as she pleases.
My younger daughter is 19, attending college, but lives at home. Because she still lives at home, and we are feeding and housing her, she still has to follow house rules. If she is going to be late, she calls. She has to ask permission to have a group of friends over in the evening because hubby and I work and my son is 7 and has school.
Are there differences in how you treat a young adult? Yes...but KA is right about respect for house rules while you are living in your parent's house...regardless of age.
