Not at all in the sense of partaking of his power. You can see how easy it is to detect that the LDS have a form of godliness but that they deny the power thereof. All this talk of priesthood being the power of godliness is nonsense. The power we receive that makes us godly is to be conceived the children of Christ by the POWER of the Holy Ghost. This is the new creature born of God, hence, godly.
This does not happen to anyone at confirmation. CFR. Not at the time of confirmation. I was confirmed at age eight. Ten years later, after I brought forth an acceptable sacrifice, and staid on it with full purpose of heart, taking no thought for my life while I wrestled to subject myself to Christ, without restraint, and was taken down into the depths of humility and there qualified by the Spirit, not once, not twice but three times descending to more earnestness at each level. It was enough.
Even Bruce R. McConkie agrees that really getting the Holy Ghost is down the road from confirmation. But his knowledge is limited as to how exactly it ever occurs.
Small wonder. Nobody in the LDS Church, since I was cast out of it, has taught this correctly. It is just not understood and guessed at poorly. And why are not the lovers of God beating down the doors of The Apocalrock Visitor Center insisting that I mentor them a right conversion? Hmm? Pride, just pride.
