HAHAHA! Wait. That could happen.
They might even go after tank top wearers after that. They gyms will have to have partitions for non-garment wearers.

I don't think this is a good law.
I also don't think it's an imposition of religious practices. I personally know of no scriptures or prophetic pronouncements leading me to believe that the viewing of the consumption of alcoholic beverages is sinful.

I completely agree. However, I have heard counsel (prophetic and otherwise) that viewing the consumption of alcoholic beverages is foolish if one is a recovering alcoholic.

Is it the same reasoning that says we're too stupid to know how to invest our money for retirement and therefore need to have it taxed away into Social Security? *

Yes but you can use that excuse for far too many things to make it wise to make it illegal. Should I not be permitted to eat a steak on the chance that someone with morbid obesity and high blood pressure will see it and want one themselves?

1 Cor. 8:13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. ;)
More seriously I think forbidding steak / alcohol is going too far, but it might be reasonable to section it off. Then again, it might be really stupid.

Only reasonable if said steak was sacrificed as part of a pagan ceremony.
