I think that women are rather intelligent when it comes to this. Most women know when a man just wants sex.
One wonders then how all these guys manage to get sex. LOL
But what I am saying is that these women did not speak a bad word about Joseph Smith. And that is a major point.
We don't really know what many of them think. I think Fanny would not talk about it.
Now if just 10 or even 5 of them did say that Joseph Smith was a lustful dog I think that we would have a problem.
Why must Joseph be a lustful dog or a saint in this area?
Joseph Smith had wonderful luck. Not only did he find 11 witnesses who kept to their story but he also found 30 or so women to be sealed to who never said a negative word about him. Strange to be sure.
He had several who did make negative remarks about him. The 11 witnesses did not keep to their story very well.
Horn dogs usually get caught out. Tiger got caugt. Jimmy Swaggert got caught. John Edwards got caught. Elliot Spitzer got caught. Bill Clinton got caught. Etc. Joseph Smith did not get caught.
So by your logic if we don't see anyone who got away with it, they must not exist. by the way Joseph did get caught. More then once, but then maybe Emma threw fanny out for shoddy work. Many of his wives admit sexual intercourse with Joseph.
Was he a horndog? The evidence says otherwise.
I don't think Joseph was a horn-dog. I think sex played a big part, but was certainly not all of it, and I think he invoked God throughout as most religious leaders do to get sexual access.
We have no idea about his relationship with these women.
We know many involved sex.
But we do know that these women did not think that he was a horndog. They would have said something if they did believe so.
Why is most of what you say unsubstantiated assertions, and I think your use of horn-dog is just a straw-man. We know Joseph was having sex with many of his wives. Emma was certainly not happy about Fanny. I think Emma may not have thought to highly of Joseph behavior here.
