Okay, so why not even things out with an equally positive distortion of your own? I'd love to hear what you have to say. Specifically, I love to hear why you're so hostile to the male point-of-view in regards to male masturbation.

However...I've never been a 16 year old boy, so....

Obviously if you are doing it so much that you are causing injury or it is interfering with your life it's a problem. If someone is married and choosing solo over partnered sex there is an issue that needs to be looked into.

Too much of anything is bad for you. Some guys whack it so much (and so hard) that they can't orgasm via sex. Similarly some women get too used to the old vibrator and have similar problems with real sex. Moderation in all things!

When I was a teenager I couldn't go for more than 3-6 months, but more like 1 month. If I went too long I'd end up whacking it in my sleep, and by the time I was awake enough to know what I was doing it was too late. Oh, the shame.

I did manage to go two years on my mission without incident. However, as a result, I was always super horny and had a hard time not thinking about sex or looking at pretty girls. I would have been a better missionary had I shaken hands with the bishop. I was probably one of the very few who didn't flog the dolphin on my mission. One time my MP remarked, "Elder ____, I never have to worry about any issues from you, do I?" I think he was tired of hearing masturbation confessions. Of course I was a little older. If I had gone at 19 I probably wouldn't have lasted 2 years.

I have a funny story about masturbation.

I had a companion on my mission that was really moody. Some weeks he was really sad and then others he was pretty happy. One day I asked him what was wrong with him because he was so moody. He told me he abused himself, meaning he masturbated. He said that he would last a week without doing it but then he would do it again. When he did it again he felt really guilty and sad that he couldn't stop. Plus we had girls that answered the door in towels and some peoples walls had pornography on them (we were in a college town). So I was like oh ok… I didn't tell him that I had a "problem" with masturbation too, I know I am a bad guy but I could go way longer than a week without doing it.

So I get home from my mission and I tell this story to my cousin while we are at the gym working out. Except instead of saying my companion masturbated every week I said that he had a problem with spanking himself every week. I thought it was common knowledge that spanking yourself was the same thing as masturbation. Well my cousin took it literal and was like "what! that's pretty weird." I said it's not weird at all and that lots of people have a problem with it. He said that he didn't know that it was a problem and he was wondering why my companion felt guilty about it. Well I said told him that the church teaches people not to do it and that's why he felt guilty about it and that he could only stop for about a week. My cousin said only a week! Then he said (this parts funny) "I could see doing it every 6 months." I told my cousin that he told the mission president about it. That's when my cousin was really shocked and said he didn't know you had to confess such a thing. He then said "what do they say to the bishop? Bishop I have a problem with spanking myself and I just can't stop doing it." That's when I realized he thought I meant literal spanking. haha I explained to him that I meant spanking was masturbation and we burst up laughing over our conversation.
