Reminds me of several news stories where fraudsters gave chunks of money to the Church and the Church required a court order forcing them to return the ill gotten gain.

So you would pay your tithing first, even if that meant others went to the wall, lost their jobs etc because they in turn didn't have the means to make ends meet?

The honest tithe payer/borrower would only expect to be able to use 90% of his income for borrowing purposes. I doubt that happens very often though.

Yes. But their other bills don't drop. It's really simple, a budget that worked at the original income level all of a sudden doesn't work at the new income level. It is happening all over the country if you read the news.
The correct answer has already been given. If you pay tithing first, all of the other bills will magically be paid. That is the official doctrine.

You are supposed to pay tithing before you buy food or clothing. You can always go back to the bishop and ask him to provide you with food and clothing if you run short.
