I don't know, Scratch. You refuse to tell me. Are YOU now claiming that one of my community members shared the information with you? It really is a simple question, Scratch. Why are you so evasive?
IF one of my community members did share the information with you, yes, I can speculate on why this all happened. I do, however, think it is a shame that this person felt more comfortable handing the information over to you rather than coming to me.
I think that there were a lot of better ways that differences could have been handled.
The main thing I have learned out of all of this is that I was too trusting.
Not everyone takes into account that there are real people behind the computer screen.
Liz, for what it is worth.
I felt slighted that you would start up a board and restrict it's participants and contributions from the outset - what you were in reality trying to create was a Facebook page (perhaps that's an option for you with what you wish to achieve).
I can understand that you perhaps want a place where there is more moderation on language and ad hom's etc but not to the extreme where it is just a powder puff faith promotion exercise (like MAD).
What you created was a pulpit for DCP to use for his own ends of preaching without challenge. When that went belly up because you had misjudged the character and sentiment of posters that you had personally invited, in my opinion, your board got what your board deserved.
To call Scratch on using secret means in exposing a site that was set up secretly, is hypocrisy. You played spy games to create the site and you got 'double agented'. That was a risk that you took (nobody forced you) and your gamble didn't pay off. Take it on the chin, dust yourself off and move on. Set your Facebook page up - it will achieve EXACTLY what I think you were trying to achieve and you have full control over content and contributers.
Just my opinion, which I acknowledge is tainted by the fact that you didn't invite me (Given the purpose of the site, as I understand it, I probably wouldn't have invited me either!).
