Just to clarify, LDS people owed you money and did not pay because they first paid tithing and that left not enough to pay you?

The First Presidency has explained that “one-tenth of all their interest annually” refers to our income (see First Presidency letter, Mar. 19, 1970).

I'm not sure if that's official doctrine. I know it's a FP Letter, but there was an FP letter that said blacks were less valiant in the pre-existence and interracial marriage is repugnant, and we all know that was never official doctrine.

Can you tell us how you verified that?
Sure. Of 8 times this happened (that is, 8 seperate people owed for consecutive months), 5 told me that: I have to get up to date on my tithing and then maybe the bishop will approve some help for us. Of the 5 who made this claim, 1 actually got help from the bishop.

Fool me once; shame on you. Fool me twice (or 8 times), shame on me.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Hoops, I do not dispute what you say. But there may be another (perhaps worse) explanation in that these people used the excuse of being behind on tithing even though they weren't.
P.S. Do you believe in a literal global flood during Noah's reign?

Hold your tapirs! You claimed "half a dozen" and then it turns out the truth is actually 5. So typical of anti-mormons to totally and completely misrepresent LDS people.

I stand corrected. My anti-mormon bias is showing again.
