I love how anti's LIE in their every word and they think they are telling the truth.
There are SEVERAL known examples of Joseph initially being successful.

And no, I'm not going to look it up for you, I've already been an idiot anti-mormon, and had to do MY OWN due diligence to know the actual truth of things instead of your anti-mormon lies. If you want to know the truth, you do your own work.

See, this is where we depart Joe, even within a proper context and ascribing the best intentions to Joseph Smith, I can’t suspend my disbelief when faced with the fact that a Mormon must believe God reveled important ancient scripture to a dude with his face stuck in a hat.

Stak, trust me when I tell you that if Joseph Smith had lived in more modern times, and had relied on a Magic 8 Ball for answers to his questions before becoming a prophet, we would be hearing all about how God decided to use a Magic 8 Ball to communicate with Joseph Smith because that is what the latter was used to.

Well, if that is so and so many of us are used to communicating via reason, can we expect the Mormon god to start using reason and communicating with us? That would be refreshing, if possible.

Maybe God and the angels haven't yet developed the technology needed to communicate with us that way?

I know I have asked it before, but I still want to know why Joseph Smith didn't use the seer stone to find the lost 116 pages.

Because that's what Lucy Harris wanted him to do. He wasn't going to waste his time being tested by a woman. God will not be mocked.

There's your problem right there. You weren't a smart anti-Mormon, you were a self-admitted idiot anti-Mormon. In other words, you sucked at being an anti-Mormon. No wonder you failed at it, LOL.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

He got the story line off to a bad start and wanted a do-over, so he did not want to find the 116 pages.

Might that be it?
