Why should they allow one? If there is nothing there, and you dig around and demonstrate there is nothing there. You just proved there is nothing there as we already knew. As you asked, it is "pointless". There simply is no reason to do it in the first place.

Which apostles and leaders? And who has said there is something there? It is common knowledge that God has the plates so what do you expect to find in Mormon hill? They don't let you dig around on other Church property either and carry it off. And there may be artifacts on the hill like stone arrow heads and so on. However, there is no gold book there so there is no point in digging up the place to find one.

Oh that. I didn't address it because it makes little sense to me. I believe in God, the Bible and evolution. I also believe the account in Genesis about Adam and Eve is mostly symbolic. Other than that, I have no idea what that means to you about me being a Christian or not. Nor do I care.
