What a bunch of non sequitur tripe! You want proof. You can talk to God today to get it. The problem is that most of you won't humble yourselves to the point to receive an answer. In the end, it won't matter. You'll have your proof in time when you stand before God and are shown all these things.

I wonder how Tobin is sure that the voice in his head is 'God' (by which he presumably means The Deity Formerly Known As Yahweh, TDFKAY for short, rather than Marduk or Erzulié)?

I mean, it would not be enough if the voice just said 'Hi Tobin, God speaking'. It could be anyone or anything masquerading as TDFKAY, couldn't it? Or it could just be that Tobin is on the wrong medication: it happens to a lot of people.

I hope that Tobin doesn't apply his 'use your intelligence and reason to work it out' test here: that would seem really risky in dealing with an entity that is supposedly the creator of time and space, and has (if scripture is any guide) asked people to do some really counter-intuitive things in the past.
