Not John Wayne (although I'm sure he was a nice guy). Maybe Randolph Scott.

This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Re: What if God was a true cowboy?
Zee, nice question.
I enjoyed the photo with the question but I wondered if that was a real cowboy or a sophisticated fashion shot designed to sell us on something. It is a bit like Marshall Dillon in Gunsmoke, but not quite. It is not quite Pendleton roundup. Maybe the big space to take a leak captures the big west myth.
It certainly is different than an image of God as a corporation man surrounded by layers and layers of designated authorities. A corporate figure so entwined with rules he cannot decide to do anything except continue the corporate program. I wonder where that image would come from?.
I like the big space a cowboy crosses. I like that a cowboy might enjoy some of the cappiness of his job. But if you ask a cowboy how you are doing a cowboy might say "figure that out yourself".
Can God ware that?
